ANDREW TYSON étudie avec Claude Frank au Curtis Institute, puis avec Robert McDonald à la Juilliard School, à New York. Lauréat de nombreux concours, il remporte, en 2011, le 1er Prix et plusieurs prix spéciaux aux Young Concert Artists International Auditions. En 2012, il obtient le 5e Prix au Concours International de Leeds, ainsi que le Terence Judd-Hallé Orchestra Prize. Il s’est produit dans de prestigieuses salles aux États-Unis, en Europe (Suisse, Portugal, Pologne), au Mexique ou en Nouvelle-Zélande, tant en soliste avec différents orchestres américains (Orchestres Symphoniques de Durham, Raleigh, Old York Road, Chapel Hill Philharmonia, Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle), qu’en musicien de chambre, avec des partenaires comme R. Díaz, R. Kirshbaum, J. Silverstein, Ray Chen.

ANDREW TYSON studeerde bij Claude Frank aan het Curtis Institute en vervolgens bij Robert McDonald aan de Juilliard School in New York. Hij is laureaat van talrijke wedstrijden en won in 2011 de 1e Prijs en een aantal speciale prijzen op de Young Concert Artists International Auditions. In 2012 behaalde hij de 5e Prijs van de Internationale Pianowedstrijd van Leeds en de Terence Judd-Hallé Orchestra Prize. Hij trad op in prestigieuze zalen in de Verenigde Staten, in Europa (Zwitserland, Portugal, Polen), in Mexico en in Nieuw-Zeeland, zowel als solist met verschillende Amerikaanse orkesten (de Symfonische Orkesten van Durham, Raleigh, Old York Road, Chapel Hill Philharmonia, Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle), als in kamermuziek met partners als R. Díaz, R. Kirshbaum, J. Silverstein en Ray Chen.
